According to last year’s reports, there were 20% off 4G LTE users in the total wireless internet subscriber base. About 60% of Pakistani are still stuck to 2G due to a large number of rural populations. But with the introduction of cheap LTE-enabled smartphones and the expansion of the network, there will be an increase in 4G usage every year.
Every Mobile Telecom Company in Pakistan now offers LTE service to its customers. Ufone, the last company activates the service in Feb 2019. Now, Ufone has 6% of the LTE subscriber share.
China Mobile Pakistan Ltd.-owned Zong was the first company to introduce 4G in Pakistan back in 2014. The company now has the largest pool of 4G LTE subscribers with 12.6 million subs out of its total 34.8 million at the end of the second quarter.
Telenor is the second-largest operator in the country, with 43.9 million subs according to the 2019 reports. The company is using the 800 MHz band and was the second one to launch 4G in the country.
Jazz, which has about 36% of the total LTE subs share( Q2-2019), offers the fastest 4G connectivity across Pakistan. It has been awarded as the fastest mobile network by Ookla.

According to the points, each Telecom company was able to win at least one category. Jazz and Telenor are the two companies that win two categories each. We can conclude by saying that according to the user’s usage pattern, any company can be suitable.
But, we consider Jazz and Zong in the number 1 & 2 position respectively as both offer the best mobile internet packages in the most used category, i.e Monthly offers.
