In short, the reason why I consider Huawei Phones better than Samsung is because of one of the vital factors. And that is reliability.
Huawei Phones beats Samsung in Reliability
Reliability is defined as “the quality of being trustworthy or of performing consistently well”.
Focus on the second part of the definition which refers to performing consistently well. Huawei phones are made to last long. This I have experienced personally with my current device, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and as well with my first Huawei purchase, the Honor 7c.
In between, I have personally kept and used the Samsung Galaxy series. Starting from Samsung S7 Edge to Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
Samsung phones may have a better display or camera but they are not reliable. Like most Android phones, they don’t perform consistently well. After some time, you’ll be experiencing lag and battery issues. It will not feel like the phone that appeared in its first few months. Things have improved after the S10 series, but they are new to the market. The actual reliability of the device can be analyzed after a 2-4 years period.

On other hand, Huawei delivers a superior experience in maintaining both performance and battery for several years.
Let’s compare the two old phones, the Samsung S7 edge and Huawei Mate 9. The Samsung S7 edge has a great display but after 4 years, the battery is left with not more than 60% capacity. But you will not believe my Huawei Mate 9 (4 Years old device) still has superb battery life. Even a year old, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 can’t beat Mate 9 in terms of battery life. This may be because of the Huawei UI optimization with the hardware but it’s clear Huawei delivers a more consistent battery timing than Samsung.
To be clear, this is a flagship vs flagship comparison. I know Samsung’s new mid-range phone likes A-series offers a very good battery life. Recently, Samsung has also announced SAMSUNG M41 with a massive 6800 mAh battery. But this mid-budget/budget mobile market is a different story.
What do you think? Which flagship phones are more reliable? Huawei or Samsung?
Well explained.
What are your opinion regarding HMS of Huawei phones.
Thanks.
