SNGPL Overview
SNGPL stands for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, incorporated as a private limited Company in 1963.
However, in January 1964 it turned into a public limited company under the Companies Act 1913. Currently, under the Companies Act 2017, SNGPL is registered on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The existing Sui-Multan System and Dhulian-Rawalpindi-Wah system took over by SNGPL from Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) and Attock Oil Company Limited, respectively. The Company is selling an average of 47 MMCFD gas in two regions viz. Multan and Rawalpindi for running their commercial operations.
SNGPL is a massive integrated gas company. It serves more than 6.8 million consumers in North Central Pakistan. Furthermore, it also runs an extensive network in Punjab, KPK, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
SNGPL is ISO 14001:2015 & OHSAS 18001:2007 certified. Moreover, the “SMART2” Program – Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PAK-EPA) – has officially registered its 11 sites.
The transmission system starts from Sui in Baluchistan to Peshawar in KPK covering over 9,106 KM of mainlines & loop lines. The distribution activities are run by 16 regional offices that comprise 4,967 main towns and villages in Punjab & KPK.
