STEP 1:
press windowkey + R . This will open run.exe.
STEP 2:
Type “regedit” and press enter . A command promt will open asking for permission press yes.
STEP 3:
Now you are in REGISTRY EDITOR. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
STEP 4:
Expand this folder and go so “Software” folder.
STEP 5:
Find policies folder and go Microsoft subfolder.
STEP 6:
Navigate to Window Defender folder and you will find two folders there ” Policy Manager” and “Real-Time Protection”. We will backup these folders before editing them .
STEP 7:
In order to backup this right-click on Window defender folder and select export option. You can save it anywhere on your Computer however just keep it in a Safe Place for Future Backup. Name the file EXACTLY the same as it appears in the Registry Edit, for instance “Window Defender”. Repeat the backup process for “Policy Manager” and “Real-Time Protection”.
STEP 8:
Delete the Window Defender folder and close all the running applications. Restart your system and the problem would have been solved.
